Join the next Nurse Aide training cohort at Indy Institute and become a Certified Nursing Assistant TODAY. This 105-hour training ensures individuals meet both the state and federal requirements to work as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). Upon completion of the course, students are registered for the Indiana state skills and written exams.
A certified nurse aide is an individual who works primarily in long-term care facilities. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, or eating. A CNA works under the direct supervision of a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse and can perform only procedures that are within the scope of practice for a CNA.

This 100-hour program combines 60 hours of classroom instruction with 40 hours of hands-on clinical practice under licensed nurse supervision. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to take the state competency evaluation exam administered through Ivy Tech Community College Testing Centers. Once certified, you’ll be qualified to work as a QMA in Indiana healthcare facilities while maintaining your CNA certification!

Join the next CMA cohort at Indy Institute for a 13-week program with lectures, hands-on labs, and a real-world externship. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and pursue roles in clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare settings.
